Privacy Policy
Introduction
Coaching Stopwatch ("the App") is operated by HammillB ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and your choices. We designed the App to work primarily on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information the App handles
Information you provide: group and runner names during setup; workout timing data (intervals, elapsed times, session state).
Stored on your device: active session data in memory; preferences via DataStore; local Room/SQLite session records (not uploaded); temporary CSV export files in cache, shared via the system share sheet you choose.
We do not collect: no account, ads, analytics, or crash SDKs sending data to us; no sale of personal information. The App does not use network access for its own operations.
How we use information
- Run and display timers and intervals
- Remember UI preferences
- Generate CSV when you choose Export
- Optional ongoing notification while timers run in the background
Sharing
You control sharing. CSV export uses Android's share sheet. We do not receive that data unless you send it to us directly.
Permissions
Notifications (Android 13+) for foreground timing; foreground service for accurate background timing.
Device backup
Android backup may include App data per your device and Google settings.
Children's privacy
Not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided information.
Data retention and deletion
Reset/end session clears in-memory data. Uninstall removes App data (subject to backup). Shared CSV files remain where you sent them.
Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
